You might know me as a guy who pushes standards and internationalization to open source audio/graphics software development and translates some of FOSS audio tools into Russian (Audacity, Rosegarden, Hydrogen to name just a few) and some graphics and photography related ones as well (GIMP, Inkscape, Hugin, Scribus etc.).
Being involved into many free software projects on different levels I’m quite concerned about the way free software, especially graphic design related, is represented on the web, which is why I started the Libre Graphics World project last year.
Besides doing translation work (I’m part of both kde-ru and gnome-cyr teams), I took/take part at some projects:
- Free!Music. Co-founded the project.
- Open Font Library. Co-founded the project with Jon Philips.
- Libre Graphics Meeting. Helped with community pledgies.
- Libre Graphics World. Founded the project, write news and articles.
- The linux*.ru multimedia family of projects (graphics, video, sound). Founded the projects, write news and articles.
- GIMP.ru. Kicked the project back to life after 4 years of nobody else daring to do it. Write news and articles.
- CREATE. Co-founded it with Jon Philips, started Shared Resources spec, do communication work.
- Tango. Did some digging for Art Libre Set.
- l10n-ru. Helped to organize the project.
