New members of GraphicsPlanet

There are several new people on the planet, some of them not knowing about it, so I take a liberty to introduce them.

  • Pascal de Brujn is known for his experiments with home-made profiling targets, ICC profiles making and all things color management.
  • Barak Itkin aka LightningIsMyName is working on PDF exporting in GIMP and occasionally fixing bugs here and there.

Other people are GSoC students:

  • Michael Muré is working on a innovative cage-based transform tool for GIMP that will make the puppet thingie in Photoshop CS5 stand crying lonely in the corner.
  • Adam Celarek is working on new colour choosers for Krita and Karbon
  • Dmitry Kazakov is implementing proper multithreading in Krita
  • Jose Luis Vergara Toloza aka Penitalis is working for Krita on comic related brush engines and Impasto implementation (let me just remind that Impasto hasn’t been implemented anywhere yet while being superior way to simulate real painting);
  • Mitchell Stokes is implementing GLSL shaders support in Blender Game Engine (here is his working branch)
  • Tomasz Meger is doing the work for libpano13 (panorama tools) that is often considered boring, but important: regression tests.

And last, but not least (very much not least!) Rawstudio project is now blogging too!
